I'm coming up with a list of topics that are relevant to non-technical teaching and office staff, to address in a rotation in an internal, monthly newsletter from the IT department. What am I missing?

Whenever there's some kind of major natural disaster and/or weather incident, I'm reminded that I'm glad I live somewhere that seems to have comparatively few of those and makes up for that by having regularly-scheduled harsh weather instead

My 6 year old calls me "father" to mess with me. I showed her this Matt Berry clip and now she'll yell "FAAATHERRRRR!" when she's trying to get my attention .youtu.be/0woAI184sYM?si=h6M615

@brad_frost My oldeset does the same thing… I shall have to show her the clip now. Thanks for the reminder it exists.

@progo I can't help but feel like it would be hard to listen for more than one name in group settings…

@louis I have a $50 US savings bond that my great grandmother bought for me when I was born and about once per year I am reminded that I should get around to figuring out how to cash out as a not-American living in not-America. I love the concept but the whole process of everything to do with savings bonds is so confusing!

(Thanks for the reminder haha)

Reservation Dogs was a near-perfect TV series

There's a big difference between a written work not mentioning if things like ethnicity or disabilities are properly represented in a society and it blatantly saying they aren't.

@raintrees I always like to point out that the Dutch family I've asked all say they call it "going American"

Futher research has just shown that apparently calling it a "no-host event" is common parlance among the event planner types
