@mike Here in Alberta, you must register with a school in order to home school, so they can account that all students are getting an education. In exchange you get $901 Canadian dollarettes worth of curriculum reimbursement money.
My boss made a good point recently: if they are willing to give home ed parents more money, it'll only come with more strings attached and more oversight.
So that would be my fear if the DoE money was just "given" to parents, I guess.
@harvhat hmmm okay I will try this!
@harvhat I agree, milk is the good stuff. But my wife hates it and misses out on the greatness that is the odd bowl of cereal
@sir_rob That's fair… but… noooooo
@harvhat I guess but I say that doesn't count
@louis Being Canadian I'm a little relieved. But also not surprised he backed down.
Linus has inspired me and I want to turn an under-stair closet into an office https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLhfuc_KCpM
My only complaint about this is that I can't understand the farsi. Concept and exection of the trailer are [chef's kiss]
Looking forward to seeing the film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-373fptEXI
@louis while four options might be too many to go through to seem “normal” to the other person, I’d totally try this
@louis I’d like to try 4 shifts per week but my job requires I be reachable from 9-12:00 and 13-15:00.
In the summer, often do the bare minimum on Friday and make up the remaining hours throughout the week
If you think I'm weird in cyberspace you should find me in meatspace.
