I think I'm starting to like the idea of things not coming with power adapters and using standardised methods to get power

I have now gone through airport security with analogue camera(s) and film 5 times and the mixed experience and reactions every time is kind of fascinating.

YEG: no issues the first time, flabbergasted at first the second

YXX: no issues, just "oh cool"

YCC: “if the swab comes back positive we will have to x-ray it” and also required proof it turns on. Good thing I didn’t bring a Brownie or my Solida folding camera loaded with film.

Can't trade 'em for gold or bitcoin nor pay the rent with them, so what are they worth?

I hate how I don't say one word on a topic and people still assume I don't agree with them

Tired: asking a “foreigner” where they’re from

Wired: asking an person who speaks ESL what their mother tongue is

Which month is too soon to start asking people for Christmas wish lists?

I chuckle whenever someone pronounces "pronunciation" in the way that I think is incorrect

What do you say in the second syllable?

If the government has deemed a child worthy of receivng funding for a specific type of care, and they start receiving said care, but then the specific employee that provides said care goes on strike, who's at fault for the child not receiving the care?

30 days into this strike, anyone who is jabbering on about solidarity with the educational assistants on strike why my kid's government funding either just sitting there or being spend on other things is no longer my friend.
