I'm so tired of everything right now... I'll just go to sleep...

I just installed a pi-hole for my router. I was hoping it could get rid of YouTube ads on the TV, but I think it is only blocking about 1/3 of them.

@MedievalMideast I think it is quite possible to give current language models the hability to produce syllogisms, as some old and recent softwares can be used to keep track of complex logical sequences. There are some chances of the models falling into fallacies because of the inherent ambiguity of language, but humans themselves commit fallacies frequently... So it is hard to tell if a computer could outperform an expert right now.
Computers would have the advantage of massive and readily available databases, as well as the capacity to perform fast statistical evaluations on data, doing rough meta-analysis from multiple sources, for example.
I wonder if such technology already exists secretely...

Why #US establishment has so much fear and loathing towards #China.

Imagine if Americans say, “Whoa, whoa! Wait a minute! The Chinese retire at 54?”

“What’s going on here in the capitalist paradise where 70-year-olds are forced to work at Walmart?”

I'm used to work with LaTeX and automatically generated references, but today I have to work with Ms Office.
Adding sources to the bibliography is such a pain... :ablobcatgrumpy: :ablobcatgrumpy: :ablobcatgrumpy:

Last week a paper we sent for a congress was accepted, but one of the reviewers asked to expand the state of the art based on a few recent related papers with their respective URLs.

Every URL was pointing to a random paper about astrophysics, mathematics or robotics, instead of our topic :blobcatgooglyshrug:

Then we looked for the publications using the title and we realized they don't exist. I'm assuming they just asked a chatbot like ChatGPT to produce the bibliography and copy pasted it :blob_grinning_sweat:
