System76 Plans Its Own Open Hardware Laptop, and a New Desktop Environment Written in Rust - Linux Magazine argues that System76's Pop!_OS offers "something rare: a commercial... - linux.slashdot.org/story/23/04 #linux

@micahbp also, because of the differential in the wave, 5G can't penetrate materials like "Glass" so.... so much for 5th generation cell tech. Maybe 6G will be better.

@micahbp I know people are not apprised, but considering the following this is not really surprising unless you live in a dense city.

"The range of a 5G small cell is 50 to 2,000 feet (15 to 600 meters)"

"The  range of a 4G LTE cell tower is 2 to 4 miles (3 to 6.5 kilometers)"

@publiccode Most people take 30 minuets to get into the zone. Each interruption resets the clock. Working off battery on some unstable internet connection -- doesn't sound optimal for getting actual work done unless maybe you are only doing bug reports and Q/A

@dansup I think that's it, but to fix it will likely require reflashing before I can confirm

@dansup Android 11 / App 1.0.0 / Pixelfed.social -- maybe I should clear the app data and start over idk

@notthatdelta I keep wondering what the possibility of using a small form factor like this is as a sells m.2 modems -- it would be interesting to give and the boot

I the only one whose android app loads pretty slow each time it needs to refresh the feed through the day?

Among the most amazing pieces of free/libre software I tested in the last few months (but not limited to...) are:

-#Ardour 7.0 (wow! remember launching versions 1.0 then 2.0!! so featurefull, flexible, robust now!)

-#SurgeXT, one of many new free/libre synths, part of the surge-synthesizer.github.io/ suite

- #Bespoke, incredible DAW reminding of AudioMulch (!)

- #Hydrogen, one of the first mature audio software that gave me hope 15y ago, as a drum machine.

-#Vitalium

yet didnt touch #VCVRack...

@pixelherodev@fosstodon.org @mos_8502 what do you mean single line 10,000 character script is hard to understand?

Thankfully we have Linters at least for data consistency.
