As an experienced parent I can tell you that we will quickly know if/when we have created an artificial general intelligence:
- it will start doing the opposite of what we ask
- it will start telling you at length about things that you didn’t ask it about
- it will cease to be able to combine logic with its knowledge and experience to make good decisions
@aeva if I had to guess without seeing the whole thing, seeing a TRACE sometimes Segmentation Faults occur in newer CPUs if the microkernel code isn't installed and loaded by the bootloader. Of course it could be hardware too, a good air compressor cleaning and disassembly / reassembly might help.
You could try a live distro to see if the error repeats indicating a software issue too.
Great news for Linux gamers.
The next version of Steam will use the desktop portal file picker.
In practice, it means Steam will use your native desktop method for selecting and saving files, resulting in better user experience and desktop integration.
This is one of many things Flatpak and GNOME pioneered that improves the Linux desktop for everyone.

@sonny Fantastic, Qt File Chooser is very friendly.
Tenacity 1.3 beta 3 has been released! This release is mostly related to bug fixes and re-merges. See https://codeberg.org/tenacityteam/tenacity/releases/tag/v1.3-beta3-1 for more info.
Also new is our availability on Flathub! Our Flatpak, developed by @TheEvilSkeleton, got published onto Flathub yesterday! This replaces our AppImages from now on, so we hope to hear your feedback on the Flatpak soon! Check it out here: https://flathub.org/apps/org.tenacityaudio.Tenacity
Opening the interface and updates on Git.
I suggest you see a slice of the LoraType interface, based on E-Ink 1.54 in partial update mode.
Just recently we got new screens from GoodDisplay with increased refresh rate, speed is the most important thing here.
The main items are: general chat, individual chat, communication setup and general settings. We invite you to discuss, we are open to opinions
By the way we have OSHWA UA000004

@fsf Most definitely this is observably true. Specific software products have gotten The Red Carpet treatment and treated as Defacto Mainline through "Incentives".
@tomosaigon they're both great in their own way. I use a combination or 3 but daily drive neither. When one is buggy the other is a stable fallback usually.

@urusan "observers"?
@Gigawatt121 you could go for a 42" display port monitor and #rasberrypi or equivalent.
@grumpasaurus @ADDiane 1 programmer and no redundant systems aught to do it!
@micahbp also, because of the differential in the wave, 5G can't penetrate materials like "Glass" so.... so much for 5th generation cell tech. Maybe 6G will be better.
@micahbp I know people are not apprised, but considering the following this is not really surprising unless you live in a dense city.
"The range of a 5G small cell is 50 to 2,000 feet (15 to 600 meters)"
"The range of a 4G LTE cell tower is 2 to 4 miles (3 to 6.5 kilometers)"
@publiccode Most people take 30 minuets to get into the zone. Each interruption resets the clock. Working off battery on some unstable internet connection -- doesn't sound optimal for getting actual work done unless maybe you are only doing bug reports and Q/A
@dansup I think that's it, but to fix it will likely require reflashing #lineageos before I can confirm
@dansup Android 11 / App 1.0.0 / Pixelfed.social -- maybe I should clear the app data and start over idk
@notthatdelta I keep wondering what the possibility of using a small form factor #sff like this is as a #linuxphone #purism sells m.2 modems -- it would be interesting to give #android and #ios the boot
I the only one whose #pixelfed android app loads pretty slow each time it needs to refresh the feed through the day?
