@mark@metalhead.club LoRa can run on a range of frequencies within a band, and it supports frequency hopping too.

All LoRa devices are expected to respect the "duty cycle" guidelines and shouldn't blast out too many packets within a timeframe.

My neighbour, alaska, has just opened up vaccinations to anyone over 16 text.npr.org/975535053
Here in BC the roll-out stretches to September.
@lupyuen

@lupyuen I've got a few SDR here but mostly cheap ones, my high end radios are conventional transceivers... I really need a proper professional SDR.

@mark@metalhead.club Yep there's LoRaWAN, which adds E2EE to LoRa.

Good example of LoRaWAN is The Things Network, the public LoRa Network that's run by volunteers who install their base stations.

@lupyuen
You probably know it but there are a lot of interesting LoRa details from this guy to explore:
youtube.com/c/AndreasSpiess/se

@mark@metalhead.club has been reverse engineered ... And there's an open source SDR implementation:

@mark@metalhead.club ... Which would make it LoRaPine or PineLoRa 😂

@mark@metalhead.club Haha could be anything 😉 I'm just hoping there will be LoRa inside...
