@Nika2022 - There is a genuine need for motorized transports so we need something to fulfill that need. ...and fossil fuels are simply not an option anymore.

But the transports that we need to replace might be shorter and less frequent than we think. Why not reconsider some historical choices while we're at it?

+ @lupyuen

@vattuvarg @lupyuen unpopular opinion would be an effective public transportation system. But as we know certain countries like America or Australia they are just not willing to invest into that and allow even the existing networks to rot and rust. Looking at your New York Subway

@vattuvarg @lupyuen and trust me if I had all the answers to things I would probably be richer than the dude who wanted to buy the birdie site

@vattuvarg @lupyuen here in Austria when you are buying a train ticket every time they are giving you the amount of CO2 you have spared because you did not use a fossil fuel car. Also affordable public transportation would not put people in disadvantaged if they lose their Mobility. In America if your car and is repoed and you live in a rural area you lose your access to a lot of services.

@Nika2022 - Well, most people still don't understand that the production numbers of BEV and FCEV will not meet demand during the rapid transition. So people will need to come up with alternatives to using their own car.

+ @lupyuen

@vattuvarg @lupyuen of course I would not expect that a person like Kim Kardashian would sit on a bus with us peasants but a lot of people would actually prefer to sit on a bus instead of sitting in a car clogged up in traffic. And let me also add that Keanu Reeves does use the subway so it's not even about wealth it's about mindset.

@lupyuen and another thing we need to learn is that if we invest there is always the potential of losses.. my finance teacher told me that if you do not have the risk taking ability and basically give up on the money you invested then you should not invest into anything.

@vattuvarg @lupyuen not to mention that those electronic cars are also requiring extremely scarce materials and the batteries are also bad for the environment. Not to mention that if the electricity is produced with not environment friendly methods then you are still polluting. You can just feel good about yourself that you are driving an electric car

@lupyuen - Thought-provoking article, but I wish people would do the distinction between BEV and FCEV.

Besides... Those green cars are traveling on very polluting ships. Maybe it would be a good thing to reconsider the amount of transports needed by planning the manufacturing infrastructure differently? Decentralizing, perhaps?

@lupyuen this is exactly why I hate to gamble with my money AKA invest into nfts crypto or even just stocks. I do kind of feel that the system is a little bit of rigged against us. Jon Stewart had an amazing podcast and I think even show on Apple TV about how for example the stock market works.
