@kristoff @lupyuen Thank you to all who boosted and favoured, but I did kind--of hope somebody would have seen some replies. It would be an interesting to discuss how far of are we of from a cyberpunk dystopia.
OK, we do not have flying cars, or humanoid robots. But there are hackers, state-hackers and big tech companies larger then nations who have very little to no respect for individuals.
There is fake news and manipulation that make it almost impossible to know what is real and what is not.
We have religious minorities who influence government and an almost out-of-control environmental problem.
Body extensions are still rare but the speed at which microbiology (like DNA technology) is going is incredible.
There is a split society (urban/rural, tech-knowable/the-rest) with the social unrest that comes with it.
And, although we do not have robots that look like humans, the way AI is starting to creep into every aspect of our live is clearly there.

Hum 🤔

@lupyuen

My god, I've heard this over and over again when new technologies come out.

"Any average chess player can beat Sargon."

"Personal computers are just toys."

"It will be hundreds of years before a heaver-than-air machine can fly."

"Electric cars can only drive 50 miles before refueling."

"Digital music is missing something, it doesn't sound as good a vinyl record."

"Portable phones are too bulky to carry around."

etc...

@lupyuen Specs say the display is an "Ultra-low power, high contrast, high resolution, Sharp Memory LCD display."

But I suppose you could modify it to an E-ink display.
