Bought another Milk-V Duo S for Apache RTOS Release Testing ... Something strangely satisfying about NuttX on RISC-V: We finished the port in only 10 days! 👍

@lupyuen They banned us from introducing LLM generated content until they were cut in on the profits from such. I understand that at least.

What I don't understand is why they're okay with us making a copy of a copy of a copy by feeding LLM content back into the canon training the LLMs. Who thinks that's a good idea?

@lupyuen Can it run on mini-rv32ima? If so, that would be really cool :)

I personally really enjoy RISC-V - it's so much fun to work with. At some point I should get a real RISC-V board and try running linux on a real rv64i-based board.

@lupyuen btw, I posted a new version of my image where saveenv command in uboot works. Save you having to paste the setenv command every time you boot!

Apache Kernel boots OK on Sophgo SG2000 / Milk-V Duo S 🎉 ... Now we implement PLIC Interrupt Controller to handle Console Input 👍

@jarkko @lupyuen It's a dual core 64 bit RISC-V MCU that is surprisingly powerful for what it is. It's also a pain to deal with.

Perhaps Maix is the best way to get into one. I have the Stick V version and the Stamp I think it is called.

In terms of power, I think an NES Emulator was written for it. I believe the RV64GC is an older version than what was standardized on. It's weird and was my first experience with RISC V.

@lupyuen You can do memory protection also with RISC-V without MMU by configuring so called Physical Memory Protection (PMP) registers in M-mode and running applications in S-mode. So it is memory protection based on physical memory partitioning instead of virtual memory. RISC-V would be a good platform for product low-cost but still quite secure products.
@lupyuen I have one SBC for RISC-V (VisionFive2) but would be nice to get one MMUless SBC too (i.e. without S-mode). I.e. kind of RISC-V "arduino".
