Having dumped a bit on the Pinephone over many months, I thought I should note that it's now my daily driver.
Downsides: can only go low power by shutting off CPU/Wifi/etc. Basically it only wakes up manually or for call or SMS.
Upside: many OS options. Mobian's my main one, but you can swap one in since it'll boot from an SD card.
Full Wayland+X11+PulseAudio. Firefox renders very well, but it's the desktop version, so you can open devtools in a pinch. Decent options for phone/email/etc.
