We eat the green leaves of garlic when they are immature. Also whole fried garlics are a side dish for many restaurants here.
@mur2501 We buy garlic in bulbs, there's never green leaves present here. And whole fried garlics is probably a bit too much for me. :D
But I love to have a lot of cloves through a meal! Usually I'd probably add 4 or 5 cloves of garlic here. Now it's 2 very big cloves, I can live with that.
Of course, it does depend on which kind of meal it is. But I'm of opinion it's perfect in paella!

It's amazing that Netherlands is a garlic exporter. Never thought any farming remained in that small drowning land ![]()
Don't know about getting green garlic leaves but you do can fry and eat the garlic bulb. Nothing to do, just directly fry the garlic cloves without removing their covering.
Also don't worry, frying removes their strong taste ![]()
@mur2501 Wait, what? We're a garlic exporter? Heh, didn't know that.
@trinsec
It seems so according to some lists, though you are not in the list of significant producers of agriculture ![]()
@mur2501
You sure? We export so much that most of the food we eat is imported. :P

Can't really understand the agricultural section
Your country makes 1/3 of world's chillis?
@trinsec
I don't think the cold waters of Netherlands is a good place for a beach resort.
@mur2501 Even better! More space for me!
Though with the climate change I'm sure we'll get warmer eventually, even though we'll get cold feet! :P
@mur2501
Then we'll become a beach resort. :P
I've always wanted a house at the water!
