@freemo have you a link? I never imagined that this film can became a problem.

@mzan A link to what exactly? The film wasnt a problem, thats the point of the post. Now that "drag queen story hour" is a big issue and everyone is complaining refering to this movie is meant to contrast the absurdity, as it happened in the movie and no one gave a shit.

@freemo @mzan Mrs Doubtfire was also a man dressed as a women attempting to pass as a women (and in the story for the very normal reason of wanting to be closer to his kids after divorce). Drag queens that dress as conservatively as Mrs Doubtfire are rare, and are not the ones that you tend to see doing these story hours when pictures come out.

I agree it's being politicized, but to pretend it's the same thing as Mrs Doubtfire is weird.

@thatguyoverthere

I appreciate your tone! Thanks 🙂

I think that it is a rather sensitive subject. We probably only agree if we see some example videos of some "lecture", and then we comment only on them saying: "this is right", "this is weird", "this is dangerous and there is an agenda", etc... i.e. on concrete cases.

Without concrete examples, it is hard to discuss, because the range of things that can go well or bad is too much broad.

BTW, also a bad teacher, in a normal class, can damage a lot the children, despite he/she is not a Drag Queen. So being vigilant is good, but prejudices alone can not save the children.
