不過賽門也說：「我的理解是她在北京，但我無法確認，因為我沒有直接和她交談。」包括WTA官員以及現役球員，沒有人能聯絡得到彭帥。"
每天逛Yahoo!首頁時, 若美國本土沒啥大新聞或突發事件, 中國相關新聞報導最多可以佔三分之一強且大多不是正面下標. 這股反感趨勢在今年尚未停歇, 日韓那邊據傳也有類似現象, 戰狼國形象差恐怕會持續好一段時間:
