Eventually I realised that I had failed to remove the dongle from its butt and insert it into the computer.

In the latest round of #enshittification, $WORK has now decided to mutilate inbound email to “obfuscate” *all* URLs (internal or otherwise).
While this potentially makes it less likely for idiots to be dangerous, it makes it much harder for those of us who have an attention span greater than a potato to continue safe practices.
The bastardised URLs also expose recipient email addresses (in plain text!) to M$, for tracking and advertising^W^W^W security purposes of course.

@jwildeboer that's why i propose the three new laws of robotics:
1. A robot may not perform a task that does not create value for our shareholders.
2. A robot may not through inaction fail to perform a task that creates value for our shareholders.
3. A robot must at all times provide the impression that it is creating value for the shareholders.
