@freemo An alien lifeform which eats uranium and powers itself by fission in it's abdomen?
@kuroi_tengu I don't think it really matters tbh. Which ones do you watch?
It really feels like he got in a fight with management, got sacked, and went off the deep end.
Oops, it was tens of millions, right.
Meh. Tens of millions. Hundreds of millions. It doesn't make much of a difference. Still ridiculous.
The Stamos angle is because Facebook does end-to-end encryption, that means end-to-end encryption is bad.
He even posted a Q-like angle where he presumed there were hundreds of millions of child predators out there, until he deleted it, to try to get at FB.
He doesn't criticize actual issues, such as the lack of privacy, or the strange puritanism.

What do you think of retro #anime? Do you spend time watching any of these?
Thinking of economic implications of the #onlinesafetybill.
It will make Britain less attractive to tech investment or to start a tech business.
It would be very cumbersome for tech start-ups, if they're able to operate at all. It would be cumbersome for other businesses as well.
Free expression would mean there'd be more economic activity within the U.K. The bill would undermine that.
I think there is more meaning to free expression than just it's contributions to economic activity, however.

Digital security is not a crime. It's empowering for the +2 billion people who use encryption every day, all over the world.🔥
France, the EU, UK & US are currently attacking #encryption.
EDRi member @LaQuadrature shares that in France, you're seen as a criminal for using:
🔹encrypted instant messengers like Signal
🔹services like Protonmail to ensure email confidentiality
🔹VPN, Tor, Tails to protect privacy online
🔹techniques to protect against GAFAM surveillance
🔹training on digital protection
🕵️♂️ Carpe DM! The phone inspector will see you now.
With powers to scan everyone's private messages, the Online Safety Bill will create a snooper's paradise.
But there's still time to stop the spy clause. Take action today ⤵️

Watching the fediverse expand is like reading one of those books where the supernatural is suddenly revived.
Mythical creatures appear, people awaken supernatural powers, and the planets grows (presumably, so that when powerful people have country destroying battles, it's only one tiny part of the planet being destroyed) with new mountains popping out of thin air.
I don't know how a planet the size of the Sun maintains the same surface gravity as the Earth, however, I'm not going to dwell too much on that.
