I *kind of* want to get immersed in an epic video game, but when I look at the dozens of controls and attributes, the sprawling tech trees and economies to manage, and the volumes of lore, I just ... *heavy sigh*.
@Pat I can probably handle a bit more than that, but I have been known to enjoy a good car racing game.
@peterdrake the Dark Souls series is great.
@lazzarello Aren't they famously difficult?
@peterdrake YES! And super fun and easy to get immersed in the open world. Elden Ring is probably the best beginner one but also the most difficult to complete.
@peterdrake Death Squared. Give me an engaging puzzler!
@jellycrystals Have you tried Magnum Opus?
@peterdrake No, just watched a video...intrigued but also looks on the edge of frustrating A.F. Haha. For some reason made me want to play Little Big Planet again!
@jellycrystals I didn't find it frustrating, although of course your mileage may vary. There are many ways to solve each puzzle, and you feel clever when you find a particularly elegant one.
@peterdrake Just d/l Assassins Creed: Black Flag because I adore pirates and also need an epic escape game. Here's hoping!
@peterdrake
Space invades had a learning curve of about 30 seconds...
