@cariad That book helped me a lot!
@simon Copilot is funny. If you can convince it that it's about programming, it'll tell you all sorts of things...
Fantasy world where they have been breeding dragons to be smaller and smaller until they have little toy dragons that can sit in your lap and are popular among noble ladies and if you leave them unattended in a home they will gather up all the low denomination change under dressers and such and push them into a corner to make a tiny $4.78 hoard to sit on
04.01. PARKS
We’ve played PARKS many times and with many different player counts. I’ve always felt like the personal bonus and photo mechanisms were dangerous distractions, so that’s one thing I want to explore in these 10 plays. We also own two expansions we haven’t tried out, so that’s a second goal.
This first game was a warm-up. @peterdrake inched past me at the end for the win (34 vs 32).
Memorable for me about Game 1 in the photo alt text.
04.02. PARKS
I need a few more plays to truly confirm, but I’m calling 3-4 players the sweet spot for PARKS. There aren’t enough interactions with only 2 and 5 is overly chaotic. I was hoping that @peterdrake (32) and Andrew (37) would waste too many resources fighting over the camera while I (34) visited parks, but those photos made the difference. Andrew also used his last turn to reserve the only park I could afford, otherwise I might have at least tied.

I've been thinking a lot about what it means to be "American" -what is worth celebrating about the USA. Not as a government, but as a place and people who do wonderful things together every day.
It's a mistake to abandon national pride to the far right. It's not enough to reject jingoism and exceptionalism. We have to offer a viable and vibrant alternative vision.
Because fascists love to say that a multicultural is the same thing as no culture.
When really it's more and better cultures.
@enobacon will be glad to know I saw two street sweepers cleaning a bike lane on MLK.
Crushing defeat in Daybreak in turn three! China and the Majority World were BOTH overwhelmed by Communities in Crisis. Building resilience is just as important as cleaning up your carbon emissions. Lesson learned!
@edwiebe I like it! Interesting decisions, good graphic design, and a very clear rulebook.
Up and at 'em, people! These days aren't going to break themselves! #daybreak #BoardGames #GameStorm #climate #SeriousGames
