@dugglebutt I teach in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at a small liberal arts college. The Rubik's Cube in the student lounge is 4x4x4.
In a conversation on reddit today someone asked if other languages have phrases like "rightie tightie, leftie loosie" to remember which way to turn screws/lids/etc. And one person answers that in Spanish, the phrase is:
"La derecha oprime, la izquierda libera."
or:
"The right oppresses, the left liberates."
(Now I kind of want to put this on a t shirt)
@baldur there actually are people who see an email and think "this could have been a meeting".

I was sure I had lost, but logged another close victory (48 vs 47). Had I not stolen the camera in the last season, it would have swung the other way. There are a surprising number of subtle rules it’s easy to forgot. Max of 12 tokens at the end of your turn. The “Copy” trail action can't be used to camp. You must have two tokens to use the “Swap 2” trail action and you can't receive the same types you turned in.
Still on the fence about Nightfall.
On-street battery-swapping station for electric scooters in Taipei. Rather than plug-in and wait, you can just swap your low battery for a charged one … and go. #climatechange #ev
@futurebird As with humans and machine learning ensemble models, diverse teams perform better.
Do ants ever cooperate with other species? I know birds have multi-species flocks.
Easter Sunday and #TransDayOfVisibility on the same day?
This seems rather appropriate.

We added the Nightfall expansion for this play. I squeaked out a very close victory (47 vs 46). As with so many (too many?) expansions, this one loosens up the constraints: Wild animals come up more often. The new parks let you pay some of the cost with tokens of your choice. Camping gives you more action choices and makes it possible to accumulate multiple year (aka personal goal) cards. I feel like it’s not an improvement, but more plays are needed.
@null Intriguing.

I chalk up this win over @peterdrake (43 vs 38) to three things. First, I had nice “forest” synergy among my gear and personal goal. Second, luck brought out plenty of forest parks. Third, I started with the camera and kept it for most of the game. I usually don’t want to fight for the camera, but I see now that it’s a good way to hedge against the cap of 12 resources and/or make use of spare resources.
Spotted lurking in our back garden this morning. Not 100% sure, but suspect we may have an imposter... 😉
