we struggle to get 14 year old girls who are excellent programmers etc to continue with CS bc their friends arenā€™t doing it

I would be so grateful if any of you would have some time to video call or come in and give them real talk (bc it ainā€™t all rosesšŸ˜†) but to inspire them

H.P. Lovebug (1972, 126 minutes) A cross-country road trip becomes downright embarrassing for two hippie pals when their Volkswagen is possessed by the spirit of a writer who believes all non-white people are proxies for unspeakable invasive horrors.

Ballistic Ellipse

Throw stuffĀ¹ in all directions with the same initial speed and the highest points of the trajectoriesĀ² will form an ellipseĀ³

More accurately, it's the winner-take-all system of big swing states, not the Electoral College itself, that's the real problem.

RT @Noahpinion@twitter.com
A lot of Electoral College defenders have been telling me that the EC gives disproportionate power to small states.

No it doesn't. That's the Senate.

The Electoral College gives disproportionate power to Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan, which are all big states.

If belief in phenomena for which there is no evidence is superstition, should climate denial be called substition?
