Having overcome the initial frustration with the controls, I'm proceeding with The Long Dark. The winter storms are very atmospheric. As in a dungeon crawl, one of the agonizing decisions is making the most of your finite carrying capacity.

In other news, I'm not a fan of the "this action takes time and you can't do anything but wait for it" mechanism.
Made another foray into The Long Dark. Quests? None outstanding. Turns out I had to go finish a conversation with the person who said "say the wrong thing and I'll shoot you" by asking them about their gun. In fact, turns out you HAVE to fully explore dialog trees.
