Are there any professional #tabletop game reviewers around here?
Started in on Hardspace: Shipbreaker. It's good so far: consistent aesthetic, satisfying space physics, plenty of time to learn the controls, and a hint of a story to come.
Looking for some recs for Windows games to snap up in the #Steam sale. What do you like for:
- Games that work well with three online players (possibly co-op)
- Short RPGs
Mastodon question: If I didn't shorten the URL, that YouTube link included an image of the video, spoiling the surprise. Is there a way to mark the image as "sensitive" without content warning the entire toot?
Tonight's fireworks distraction movie: Skyfire, which answers the question, "What if Jurassic Park, but volcano?"
The answer is oddly precise flaming boulders falling out of the sky.
It's a Chinese production, with Jason Isaacs (of Star Trek Discovery) as the token westerner.
Points for a scene where you're sure someone is going to have to crawl across a pipe above lava to flip a switch, but our heroes find a more reasonable solution.

Tried the racing game Gravel on the strength of the Colorado River DLC for #RiverMonth. (We grasp at straws here.)
It's okay, but it didn't recognize my gamepad and I didn't want to drag out the wheel and pedals.
Of course #Violet is freaked out by fireworks, so it's time to watch an action movie to distract her. Tonight's selection: RRR. Let's settle in for three hours of beefy men jumping and high fiving each other in front of explosions in slow motion.
For #RiverMonth, I thought it might be fun to play a boat racing game. Any suggestions?
Googling for "best __ games" gets me nothing but ads.
