I wonder if #Oregon has a plan for how we're going to vote when Trump destroys the post office.
@randahl
Even before sanctions Russia's per-capita GDP was smaller than Romania's. Total GDP smaller than Canada or Brazil. The only thing that enables them to be a military power at all is dictatorship. No free people would allow itself to be so disproportionately militarized and impoverished.
A perfect comparison from @drshepherd2013.bsky.social about the importance of meteorologists at NOAA.

@Fife4Europe Oh he understands. And he's on the aggressor's side.

@fulelo Sorry, just seemed like a pretty out-of-the-way place to protest.
@fulelo Do they think the firings took place there?
@rpilocator Hm, pishop's site is looking a little broken these days. If you go to "raspberry pi boards", it lists most but not all boards. The 16GB 5 is completely missing. You have to go to "Raspberry Pi 5 > Raspberry Pi 5 Boards" to find it. And the UI elements to change the display columns and number of items don't work.
@Fife4Europe Kind of amazed that Bezos let this one get published.
@middleclasstool @TheBreadmonkey
Yeah it's great when the software you want to use is available for it, or you're willing/able to use the hobbyist-maintained comparables.
I've used Linux professionally for 20 years, but I still choose Macs for my desktop. Near zero setup and maintenance effort, commercial applications run natively on it, OS support for more than a decade on average. And millions of people have exactly the same setup you have: so any problems tend to get famous and fixed. But for servers, appliances and virtual machines: Linux every time.
In fairness, all my Macs have done the same. Although Apple stopped updating my 2011 iMac a couple of releases ago it still works beautifully. (And I can dual boot into Linux). My 2013 macbook air is still supported, but I had to replace it 5 months ago when some keys on the keyboard stopped working reliably.
@w7voa If he wants to get the money back he'll to have to ask the US defense industry, because that's who it actually went to.
@bruces It's probably still good
