Got a new laptop for my job today, you can compare it with the one I was using until now.

Old laptop: better keyboard
New laptop: better everything else

Hopefully this one doesn't shut down if I play a movie with Firefox open

Ok, I can see they really splurged on this laptop!
It's so new that the WiFi adapter is not recognised by Debian non-free...

I'll have to waste some time on this tomorrow...

Soooo kernel 5.10 doesn't have the necessary drivers
Kernel 5.18 does but crashes...

Other kernel versions are not available on Debian repositories

No idea how to go about this...

@rastinza Good luck with that Nvidia GPU and Linux. If you are using an open source driver for the GPU then use the proprietary driver. Monitor the boot process for more useful information. I'm guessing it's the GPU.

Yes, I guess the GPU is creating some troubles...
Didn't really need such a modern one, just a dedicated one to run some calculation

Didn't even try configuring it yet...
