This promo video from the Monarch Machine Tool Company opens with a machinist playing a fully decked out lathe like ringing a bell. That model is pretty close to one of the lathes still in use in my school's shop. It's a lovely machine.

Just got in the airport of Munich and Lufthansa gave away free newspapers, that's great.
I got the new York times since it was one of the few in English.
Opinion article in the first page by Paul Krugman about an act that has been approved by the US senate.
Summary: the act is good and they did great even though it will have to be improved on; some people don't like it and insult it without reason since they don't understand it.
No explanation about the reform, no explanation about the consequences, no explanation about the advantages other than "will catalyze progress in green technology", no examination of the critics.
This is just a bad article with no reason to be read.
I'll keep going through this newspaper, it's quite small anyways and see if the other writers are maybe a little bit more journalistic.

Siccome in molt* avevate espresso interesse sul tema, vi aggiorno su cosa succede alle porte del #nordest. Trieste.
Dall' Ucraina non sta arrivando quasi più nessun*.
Anzi, stanno tornando a casa.
Abbiamo ricominciato ad accogliere le persone dalla #rottaBalcanica.
Al momento, abbiamo in accoglienza molta gente dal Pakistan, qualche Afghano ma pochi, famiglie dalla Macedonia e Kosovo, parecchia gente dal Bangladesh.

Ho chiesto a un amico un letto per dormire, lui l'ha tirata un po' lunga perché doveva venirlo a trovare una ragazza.
Gli ho offerto due pecore per la ragazza, lui ha discusso un po' sul fatto ed alla fine ha deciso di darmi solo il letto, senza ragazza.
Oggi mi hanno chiamato due ragazze che apparentemente sono in accordo per dormire qui questa notte.
Si vede che le pecore gli sono piaciute molto al mio amico, addirittura me ne manda due di ragazze!
