I've been reading his blog for quite a while and followed his fight against glioblastoma.
I imagined he passed away as he didn't post in a while, but it was sad to have a confirmation.

La mia coinquilina è pazza, recentemente fuori da una clinica psichiatrica.
Ogni tanto sbrocca e si mette a lanciare cose e gridare.
Dobbiamo trasferirci a fine mese perché fanno dei lavori in casa ed ancora non abbiamo trovato un altro appartamento.
L'altro giorno ho invitato un amico a pranzo e stava dicendo che lui un appartamento lo ha e che ce lo poteva lasciare anche gratis.
Lei è uscita tutta sbroccata, fino a che quello ha detto che però così no che non ci dava l'appartamento.

Che io accetto molte cose, però porco dio!

Sono stato al supermercato, trovato un pezzetto di carne in sconto, fatto ripieno di verdure e pure delle lenticchie spellate.
C'ho delle castagne congelate da ottobre, che dite ce le butto nella zuppa?

Tabacco aumentato a 6,20€ alla borsa.
Quasi quasi ho motivo di smettere di fumare ed usare i soldi che spendo settimanalmente in tabacco in un paio di belle bistecche.

Vendono casa occupata di 5 stanze a 30.000€.
Quasi quasi vedo dov'è e faccio un salto a chiedere a quelli che ci stanno quanto vogliono per andarsene. Se accettano un 10-20 mila ci potrei anche pensare.

We have good news though. One million rows should take "just" about 5GB from these initial results.
That is not too bad. With 5 tera I can store a billion. Should be good enough. I probably do not have enough computational power to get to a billion in any reasonable amount of time.

Batching substantially improved my computation time.
Now I should maybe address the recomputation of already computed values. I do fetch results from the DB when fetching entities. But I do not fetch the results when generating new ones which happen to have been previously generated.
Will it be better if I fetch the DB or worse?

I want a software engineer to setup some good performance metrics!
