The two main thinks I've been sewing lately are ready to be worn!

The skirt is a foundation skirt from a 1892 patternmaking manual in light blue linen/cotton with box pleated ruffles at the hem, made in a walking length (you can see the ankles! and the very modern hiking boots I'm wearing every day with late 1800 inspired clothing :D )

The shirt is a gentleman's shirt from a 1880 book, made in blue cotton with two pleats per side in the front plus the button placket and a handful of errors: I've put one of the three buttons in the wrong position (it should have been midway between the collar and the second button) and the cuffs are too small (and I've put the slit in the wrong position, wooops), so I haven't added buttons yet (and maybe I won't?)

Looking at the data #CrossRef (they manage the #DOI|s for scholarly publishing) has on translated articles I found some Easter eggs.

They have a publisher, the "Society of Psychoceramics", which has several journals.

My favorite, working on historical climate data, is the "Journal of Metadata Perfection". Would love to be able to publish there.

Perfetto per la cucina, 'Che cavolo c'è nell'orto?' elenca ogni mese le verdure di stagione. Disegnato dal riconoscibilissimo @maicolemirco, è così bello che mi aiuta a limitare la carne. Tra l'altro 'Ricette del cavolo' è uno dei due motivi per cui non ho ancora cancellato l'account di Facebook (c'è anche su Instagram, che per me è terreno estraneo): veganə e non, vi sfido a non annegare nella vostra acquolina (che bella immagine 😅) con le ricette di Clonsi!

My name is Kor de Jong. I am a research software engineer at Utrecht University (Netherlands) and work on a modelling framework called LUE. This is a free to use and open source software package for developing large computer models for simulating geographical processes. It is currently in alpha stage, but I hope it will become useful to more people during the coming months.
