@cstross Shadefire must be amazing if people are trying so hard to keep it pristine. How can I book a trip?

@TruthSandwich I said "I have met very few." I did not say they do not exist. I live in the south.

@TruthSandwich quite likely that my personal experience is not an unbiased statistical sample. I do think it understandable that I find Christian nationalists a much worse (and current) threat than communism.

@TruthSandwich I have met very few Christians who are not tied to the Republican, authoritarian creed so it is hard for me to make that distinction. I have to admit I am less judgemental with the Africans I deal with of all creeds. They seem sincere

@TruthSandwich ok. I was flippant. Fascism is bad, his book is hard to take seriously. I can not really tie Marx to USSR or CCP. Frankly, their system had nothing to do with him. I get more upset about the Bible since I am confronted daily ( I live in southern USA) with people using it to try to force me to do things. I do not think trying to counter Christian nationalism makes me a bigot.

@ClaraListensprechen4 de rien. Je dirais que la chose que j'aime plus que tous les autres est confit de canard

@TruthSandwich I have read 2 of the 3 books. Mein Kampf is hard to take seriously. Bible I find more disturbing. Both have sections advocating genocide. I never took Marx seriously enough to invest time in his writings. Bakunin is interesting, though.

@TruthSandwich Our opinions differ. Not knowing you, I hesitate to say anything about your mental facilities. I feel safe, though, in saying that the Bible is often used to justify many things the prophet of the new testament would not approve of.

@ClaraListensprechen4 pied de porc mariner avec le choucroute c'est très aimée en Bavière

@TruthSandwich the only evil German book is the Gutenberg Bible

@kingu @franz

Oh. That was the only thing I found in common about the people that the right wing calls pedophiles. so, I figured that was what it meant.

@blogdiva @cstross

Outside of the unnecessary dig against "narcissistic atheists," I am totally on board with the rest of your statement.

Especially the unhinged oligarchy part.

I get kind of confused by the difference between libertarians and anarchists.

I am pro-anarchist, but find that the main belief of libertarians is that they don't want to pay their bills.

@blogdiva @cstross

If you excludes narcissists, the world gets really small, really quickly.

I think all that would be left are people with self-loathing.

Not that I have anything against people with self-loathing. I agree with most of them.

@kingu @franz I thought pedophilia meant you do not brown nose Musk, did I get that wrong?

@rustoleumlove @StillIRise1963

I don't know why Democrats always feel the need to appoint Republicans to posts. And then those Republicans spend all their time kissing up to the KKK

@blogdiva @cstross

You say that as if narcissistic atheism were a bad thing...
