@JAWG @RickiTarr Pied de porc in France I find a bit fatty. I prefer Schweinshaxe or Surhaxe in Germany. I prefer the roasted Schweinshaxe with a hard crunchy crust. But, the ham-like Surhaxe is also quite good.
@RickiTarr Rotten cabbage
@JAWG @RickiTarr Pickled pig's feet in Bavaria (Surhaxe) is really good. A whole pig's foot pickled until it becomes kind of like ham. Served with Sauerkraut. very tasty.
I would kind of like to revisit the 3/5 compromise. Since Blacks were only 3/5 of a person for the first 100(?) years of the republic, how about having white votes count for only 3/5 of a vote for the next 100 years?
If this had been the law for the last 40 to 50 years, we would be in a much better place now.
I have been thinking about this for the last several years.
On the first indictment my true love gave to me....

Idle hands?
@RickiTarr @tantramar@nojack.easydns.ca @AlliFlowers @TonyaCanning Mushrooms are legal in Colorado.

Could you imagine giving your dog Count Chocula (warning, chocolate is toxic for dogs), Cap'n Crunch, Froot Loops, Luck Charms, etc?
The thought makes me shiver.
But, giving kids a bowl of that, sure!
To be honest, I give my dog shredded wheats as a treat.

Also, full disclosure, have a dog and no children. I pay tons of attention to what I feed the dog. I might be more careful with his diet than mine. His waistline reflects this.
I think most people are more careful about what they feed their dogs than what they feed their children.
In my youth, schools and parents were happy when kids read. People wanted children to read and think.
Few things fill me with dread like the current organized censorship of literature, history, access to knowledge
Then I learn they’re consulting ChatGPT like some computational divining rod because no one can be bothered to read books before banning them.
I’m impossibly tired!
@RickiTarr
Dog food has appropriate nutrition for dogs and does not rot their teeth.

Police action definitely guarantees that no one will ever hear about #KariNewell DUI conviction or the police chief's sexual misconduct:
Very intelligent action taken by sheriff to safeguard data privacy.
@gwynnion Change into another right wing chatbot.
@writerethink I would rather train people to mimic the bots and do other things to turn all chatbots into Tay.
Our main line of defense now is data poisoning.
Maybe we could train the chatbots to attack the tech billionaires. It may be our only chance to stop this idiocy.
@TruthSandwich
I guess we are converging on intolerance of viewpoints that deviate from your own. I can see that.
To be a bit fair to him, I get tired of the right wing bombast being met by left wing equivocation. In that he does not equivocate, I find him refreshing at times.
I would not vote for him, though.
While the far left and right do intersect (see AFD/Linke in Germany and FN/PCF in France), I have trouble considering Bernie as a threat. He does want more government support for the poor, which can seem odd in the USA context. But, that would be useful.
Republicans just peddle hate and racism.
That said, I would not vote for Bernie. I think he would be intolerant of dissent.
If you are talking about intolerance of opposing viewpoints and inability to debate with your concerns, I can agree with that on far left/right.
