Is there a way to format block code using markdown on ? Triple backticks don’t seem to work:

def mean(a, b):  sum = a + b  return sum / 2

Markdown code needs some looking at, it’s got some bugs including this one.

Thats largely for your instance’s software to decide. Gargron refused to render the markdownn, other clients might render it.

@freemo @trinsec @peterdrake I see! It’s a shame that the raw markdown is not passed on to non-markdown servers

@freemo @trinsec @peterdrake should clarify that my instance is QOTO, but I hesitate to use markdown in my posts as many will not see the text formatted properly. So I often opt for plain text with markdown symbols
