@whateveryouart ancaster mill!
@codebryo ah, haven’t used jira since ~2016, sounds like it hasn’t changed much! used to spend so much time trying to tweak it or just jumping through the hoops of someone else’s convoluted scrum process
Long thread/8
@pluralistic why are all your images marked as “sensitive”? also: hey, glad you’re here!
@elk hey, love elk but haven’t been able to use it since moving to qoto.org from mastodon.social… qoto admins have no idea why. anything on your end?

bothers me that spots like this — walkable, multi-level, human scale, tied in with nature — are so rare around here that they're basically exclusively used for weddings.
@levisan @BackwardsFeet hah yes! this would be an easy conversion for most church basements. honestly only downside i can see of doing the church as house thing is your heating costs are crazy unless you get rid of the vaulted ceilings, even if they’ve still got a boiler. wonder if thats solvable w heat pumps or something.
went to the fillmore in detroit last night with @yo_peej to see the national play. what an ornate space! excellent set too, def worth the drive.
@cereal this is so close to the premise of a cory doctorow short story from his book “radicalized”—the inspiration maybe? hah
@deltatux ive got some of these at my desk! didn’t realize they were a thing of the past. shows how often i use coloured pencils, i guess
Found on Bluesky, and thought I'd share here.
The Sad Bastard Cookbook: Food you can make so you don't die

"I co-wrote a cookbook for depressed people and other folks with zero spoons, only knives. It's not meant to be gourmet cooking so much as a survival guide for late stage capitalism. And you can get it for free!"
@Eggfreckles huh! have been curious about giving linux a whirl. maybe now i know which flavour!
"Getting rid of physical books because we now have databases is like getting rid of sunshine because of the existence of vitamin-D pills and cod liver oil." --love that.
a cogent plea for keeping physical libraries available:
