I guess perspective is everything. As a USAian who lived in Europe, I returned to the US (granted, pre 9/11) and have no intent or desire to relocate outside these borders . The terrorists lose every time anyone decides they're irrelevant. To me, the so-called "terrorists" don't even exist... I do have to admit there's a case to be made for a certain ginger terrorist existing, but he also is irrelevant to my life.

Only 1 out of 3 people who have had chicken pox will ever get shingles. My immuno supercharged body and simple placebo brain place me in the 2 out of 3 category. Is believing in the odds more "scientific?"

@freemo The odds of dying go down as you get older. My simple placebo brain intentionally knows the same is true of shingles. Actually, it doesn't even acknowledge any possibility that shingles could manifest in this immuno supercharged body.

Yes, people die without vaccines, but moreso in 1st world nations. I wonder why the death rate from measles is an order of magnitude higher the States than say, the Ukraine.

I "cherry picked" the diseases I personally had, among which is the largest FUD of them all, measles.
Sorry you get bouts of shingles. I never have. By this time, I am strongly inclined to predict I never will.

@freemo Propaganda is such an amazing tool. Almost everyone I knew had mumps, measles and chicken pox. Not a single kid in my school of several hundred died.
Such a "large chunk" that I couldn't count them.
