@apps Would you be so kind as to post a thread about how to best interact with Lemmy from Mastodon in Fedilabs? Or is it possible to add a Lemmy account directly in the app? It said it couldn't find the sh.itjust.works client ID.
The Reddit blackout is tough for me; I'm in a lot of good communities there that I find informative, intriguing, and engaging.
I honestly hope that the admins mess it all the way up and the federated options become the norm.

@dalias @aral @Tutanota Because the journalist interviewing me asked a hypothetical: if you had the choice between staying and weakening encryption or walking, which would you choose? And obviously the choice -- in the context of that hypothetical -- is to proverbially walk. This is clear in the body of the article, even though they chose an incendiary headline. OF COURSE we would set up proxies and etc before "walking". And what "walking" would actually entail is not straightforward.
n00b question: I just reset my phone and now I can't seem to be able to follow hashtags anymore in Fedilab. I get an error that says my instance doesn't support it, but up until my phone reset I could do it.

I'm using #fedilab on Android. I already have a #noobquestion: can I add hashtags in Fedilab to my home feed? Right now I have some hashtags in the top bar but I have to view them all separately. #thx!
How many characters are too many? Can I just go on forever? I heard there was a limit but I still haven't reached it. Maybe it's 600 characters? 1000? I guess at some point the numbers will just go red and I will know what's up. Ok it wasn't 600.
