@fullyabstract
Went veg for the planet, went vegan for the animals. ♥️🐷

@cherti
I also use the function to edit pictures before posting public. Nice that Signal strips the exif data as well.

Face blurring and a blur marker should be standard in all photo editors. It just belongs to modern netiquette.

@sammi
Interesting that you went to Cheogram. I thought Conversations was the standard.
But this is the line Signal is trying to walk: security, privacy, and usability.

@Rush
This is really laying the groundwork for a huge step up in capability and use cases for Signal. Once usernames are here and mostly ironed out, I can't wait for the little steps and function updates made possible!

@FrankTheHealer
@newpipe
Yeah, I also started having this problem, but haven't seen it addressed in any of the usual forums. 😒

@signalapp I'm so thankful for stories! After I stopped using Meta products, I told everyone that this is the only way I'm posting about my life. Opinions may differ, but I think it's pretty close to the best possible implementation. I trust Signal for posting moments of my personal life! ♥️

@apps Would you be so kind as to post a thread about how to best interact with Lemmy from Mastodon in Fedilabs? Or is it possible to add a Lemmy account directly in the app? It said it couldn't find the sh.itjust.works client ID.

@Tutanota
You are really on a roll! I've been dying for pinch to zoom!

How about creating reminders? Like an event but with no time duration. And maybe a snooze button to go with it? 😏

Just recently I changed to the Revolutionary plan from the legacy basic plan. A fair deal I could afford! 👍

@funcrunch
I'm only going to the site to see if my favorite subreddits are polling for an extension. Which I am absolutely for.

In the meantime I'm going to duplicate my posts (not many) on Lemmy.

The Reddit blackout is tough for me; I'm in a lot of good communities there that I find informative, intriguing, and engaging.

I honestly hope that the admins mess it all the way up and the federated options become the norm.

@dekkzz76@emacs.ch
I happily pay for Nebula because I know good content isn't a charity and wish more of my favorite creators would join. All corporate stuff I watch through NewPipe.

@Tutanota
If it's something that is Germany-specific, maybe do both, like with this post? Otherwise, I think the number of people who don't understand your posts in English is--verschwindend gering. 😁

@Tutanota
Reminds me of when Tutanota knowingly and deliberately spread misleading information about Signal Messenger a few weeks ago to promote their own product.

@dsfgs
Metadata on Signal is encrypted. In many cases better than the trust required in federated systems unless you run your own server, which is not accessible for most users.

Signal strives to be the best trade-off of privacy and wide usability and they're doing a damn good job of it imo.

@mystique@infosec.exchange
Here's more context. Signal isn't simply going to "quit" the UK:

@Tutanota
This press release is extremely cringe after @Mer__edith explained where that misleading headline came from and your account even apologized! 🙄
(screenshots in case you decide to go full cringe and delete the apology)
