@dalias @aral @Tutanota Because the journalist interviewing me asked a hypothetical: if you had the choice between staying and weakening encryption or walking, which would you choose? And obviously the choice -- in the context of that hypothetical -- is to proverbially walk. This is clear in the body of the article, even though they chose an incendiary headline. OF COURSE we would set up proxies and etc before "walking". And what "walking" would actually entail is not straightforward.
@Mer__edith
Thank you for clarifying this. I too was fooled by the headlines.

I believe Signal should adopt this policy as well. Let them enforce their totalitarian policy.

I think the core of your message was missed by most of the replies here:
that even if the AI would give sound advice, many people cannot PAY FOR the medications, treatment, therapy, etc. it would recommend. That's a systemic problem, not an AI problem.
@mastobara_bot
Your capy is far better. 😎👍 AI drew a hamster.
@Tutanota
As a counterpoint, I chose Tutanota over Proton because of the affordability. (Neither free option met my needs.) The tuta.io domain is also pretty nice.

Oldest to newest is actually the standard behavior of Gmail. 🤪

...zweiter positive Nebeneffekt: vllt dadurch wirkt es als ob Veganismus populärer ist als es wirklich ist und dadurch normaler wird. Wer liest noch heute Kommentare?

@Volksverpetzer
@Tutanota
Looks good! Perhaps add a sorting function in case people prefer newest to oldest. 👍
@capibarabot
😱 no capy!! 😭
@Tutanota
None of the above. KeePassDX for password manager, for example, which I don't mind backing up manually. For the first two, I'm still a Google product. :/
I'd pay for a better alternative though. I tried to understand how to use Nextdrive + Owncloud etc. but couldn't.
@jforseth210
I have 100+ ppl on Signal, but 2-3 close friends either didn't or uninstalled after a while. Two related reasons:
1) didn't install because people ask to install 10 different messengers so they're sticking to SMS and WhatsApp.
2) uninstalled to cut down on messenger apps.
@statler
I really like what Signal has become though, and hope that features like stories and usernames get built out even more to include stuff like permanent stories and alias/disposable usernames.
I could totally see Signal becoming a viable social media alternative.

Which basically just leaves decentralization as something Signal cannot offer, as I understand it, the architecture would have to be rebuilt from the ground up for that...
