Threads should have been adding more features over the days to gain the traction. But they haven't.
And the branding part is also correct. People won't change social media.
I also hate the fact that I still have a Twitter account. Mostly to follow news and football updates.

Yesterday I started an analysis with the goal of just producing one plot, as my manager asked.
After that, I thought: cool let's create a facet plots for better clarity.
Ohh, let's plot a boxplot, can see the percentiles.
Oh that's nice. Why is the median of variable A more than B? Let's find out.
And like this, the whole day went by.
Sent the final report and findings to boss. And he liked it.
Without random exploration, Data analysis is often incomplete.

You can use it as notes to your future self. After some years you’ll have a nice journal of how you have evolved over the years. Rereading your old texts is like communicating with your past self.
Again, this part is where Zuck is SO good at making FB addictive - ‘Memories’ in FB. I know many people who don’t update much on FB anymore but visit the it because of Memories.
Just yesterday I was saying it here: the world would be a better place if more people start writing blogs.

Anyone can set up and run their own server on here.
This is great for lots of reasons (outlined here: https://fedi.tips/why-is-the-fediverse-on-so-many-separate-servers/) but it also means that a small minority of servers may be run by nasty people, and potentially contain nasty content.
Fortunately, most server admins use server blocks to prevent their users having any contact with rogue servers.
If you see something bad on here, it's important to report it so that your admin can take action. Click on ⋯ and "report" to report a post.
It would be very interesting to see how for how long the easter egg was hidden like this!

4/4 It's not known which agency or brand team member in KFC came up with this idea, but considering that Wieden+Kennedy, the agency, rewarded the Twitter user, on behalf of their client KFC, with a gold-framed portrait where KFC's Col. Sanders carries the Twitter user (https://tinyurl.com/kfctweet2), it's most probably the handiwork of the agency.
This is an incredibly nuanced and clever easter egg to conceive and hide. And the resultant virality is truly 🤯 stuff!

India's first #Pride march: the Friendship Walk in #Kolkata in 1999. I'd never heard of this before.
No corporate sponsors, no floats, just a small group of guys (they all seem to have been men) in yellow t-shirts walking in the rain. A lovely brave gesture.
I'm glad things worked out in the end for Mr Dowjah and his neighbour.

End of last year we launched our own #Mastodon server Vivaldi Social, becoming the first #browser company to step into the decentralized world of the #fediverse.
