Start woking with a thermal printer SDK. It's written for android in Java.

They didn't provide any source code, but luckly, java program itself is the source code.

And now I decide to write my own SDK.

Yeah... "Vector<Byte>"

Can't believe Finnish people make candy/snacks from liquorice.

Due to pure curiosity, I ordered the "salmiakki" (salty liquorice) from Finland. And for god's sake, I only order 1 pack (40g).

I put 1 piece of that thing into my mouth, and I immediately recognized it. It's licorice tablets, a traditional Chinese medicine, which are widely used to treat respiratory diseases such as cough. And it's one of my most disgusting flavors.

Now I have 40 grams of things to deal with. OMG

For some unknow reason, I can't find the full video of this version. Some source suggested this is 2014, where 春野寿美礼 shares the character with another actress. But this youtube video suggested this is 2016.

I do hate copy right when google said some results are removed

Yesterday I had an argument/debate with my friend.

My friend suggested that "memory mapped I/O" should be appropriately named "virtual memory mapped I/O", otherwise it would be misunderstood as something that copied back and forth between CPU ram and IO devices, like Fig 1.

Then I argued that this misunderstanding won't happen if you consider the actual hardware architecture: There is no such thing to do the copy. The hardware only redirects your access to a certain ram address to a device's space. For example, the ram's 0x5000 to the UART chip register in this video.

And then we came to the ambiguity of the term "memory". He thought memory referred to the physical memory, considering the device memory is not related to the CPU's physical memory, thus it should be called "virtual memory mapped I/O", since the mapped space looks like a part of the CPU RAM but actually not. With this ambiguity, I thought the virtual memory itself will be ambiguous considering it's originally describing how OS manages processes' ram, and now you use it for IO mapping.

In the end, he thought me don't care about the logic of language, and is ridiculous. I thought this is fine, and I do not care the that, then what?

Youtube starts showing me a lot of harry potter clips, LOL

Apparently, samsung still needs to improve their handwriting to text system, as I didn't figure out how to write like a printer since I was young. Starting from 8, I just don't know how people can write characters strokes by stroke while still maintaining the general shape. And without continuous stroke, I just can't write.

R5S compared with Nintendo switch and Seagate portable drive.

It's pretty compact and can be easily fit into corners. The price is similar to a raspberry pi 4, about 100 USD, 4GB ram and 16GB eMMC.

That's will be my dedicated router for now. I'm not going to use all-in-boom, I mean, all-in-one solutions 🤣

In my observation, it's a successful migration.

Unless I suddenly realized I forgot something several days later.

Well, hiring somebody else to host my database should be much easier. At least I can open a ticket when things go wrong, instead of blaming myself.

Also, got some progress on my side project.

The cnn based auto encoder works better without the dense layer (or full connect layer), I don't know why, but it just works.

Here are some examples, the green pixel means the autoencoder thought there should be a living cell, and it is. Red pixel means the autoencoder think it's alive, but it's not. White means the autoencoder missed, it though it's dead, but it's alive.

Next step: try to build a neural network that can give necessary addition to make next step as close as possible to a given target pattern. (So I can display the bad apple in Conway's game of life). And to make things less boring, I decide to use genetic algorithm to "train" the network. Wish me luck 🤣

I have never owned a Wii or 3ds, but I do saw my classmate playing it.

I sincerely hope there can be a torrent file that accidentally contains those data, maybe along with some simulators, and f*ck those copyright limitations.

Donating those data to a history is a good choice. But in my (aggressive) opinion, it's useless unless the public can get their hands on those data and make use of them.

Anyway, this man is a real hero.

I bought EVERY Nintendo Wii U & 3DS game before the Nintendo eShop closes youtu.be/ujHUMG0Uovs

I saw ltt's review on GuliKit's joystick replacement kit for joycon, and recently my switch pro controller's left joystick is heavy drifted, which eventually turned itself into an E-waste.

So I bought their controller (they don't offer replacement kit for the pro controller). I still prefer the official controller because of the surface and vibration. Each time this controller vibrate, it just scared me and make me want to throw it away.

But I did spend sometime with it (not playing game), I found out it offers a way to update it's firmware! And it can record your input sequence and replay it, or export to and import from your PC. And you know what? I think I can generate script for painting the profile picture in Splatoon 3.

After bought the Samsung tablet, my eyes hurt.

Not because bad screen, but because good screen. I spent so many hours per day on watching things. Oh my eyes...
