What parts of our first season were your highlights, and why? 😃

Expat friends- I know you want to be in the middle of the action, but folks are playing "spot the CIA handler" and posting pictures of various foreigners at these events, speculating if they are there directing the action. It's your threat model- but I would not.

Honestly, I probably would have disengaged from the Fediverse/Mastoverse a long time ago - or at best had a mostly dormant account (like I do on the birdsite) - because of stuff like this, if not for #QOTO.

To my knowledge, this is the instance that comes closest to having the culture that Hacker News wants to have:

Also folks, I'm using 3 different instances while as a #MastodonNewbie I try to figure out what's the best choice for me. In a week or so I'll probably consolidate. Meanwhile you may see me follow you 2 or 3 times, from qoto, c-dot-im, and vivaldi Mastodons.

#Mastodon really needs a better system for handling repeated #boosts of the same toot. Apparently "Group boosts in timeline" affects things only if two people's boost of a post occur within 40 posts of each other. I need that number to be about 25 times larger, at least.
