Great talk, @cj@mastodon.technology

I've actually been trying to write an implementation for initially with go-fed, then from scratch, and now considering your lib again. I'm trying to learn Go and help with ForgeFed. Thanks for the inspiration.

@dmbaturin @lain Interesting, I might counter the page rejection with that citing, thanks.

Also, Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger wrote about some of it's problems: larrysanger.org/2020/05/wikipe (offline right now for some reason).

@dmbaturin @lain I don't think notability is a problem, especially in Pleroma's case. Restating the comment given, It's more the requirement for "reliable sources", which just means big established names. A news story could be totally baseless and speculative but will get a reference from a Wikipedia article because it's established.

A wise man once put it more simply: "Wikipedia has become just a repository for the mainstream media." and "There are newsworthy events on the Internet at would not make it on Wikipedia [for this reason]"

I now always click on the Talk and History links of every page which has reference in any way to a person. Just the reality of the times.

Same. I don't fully understand it but it seems visionary. I'm quite humbled by the amount of subfields put together.

Never heard of but time travel seems OK I guess...

@pioneer It completely depends on what features you want, and how willing you are to code. Whatever suits your needs.

You might be interested in this too: indieweb.org/

I (torresjrjr.com) just use Atom (RSS), and this Fediverse account.

@pioneer
1) docs.joinplu.me/guide/creating, or use a reader mode in your browser.

2) Plume supports likes, comments, and boosts. As for WriteFreely: write.as/matt/towards-a-commen

Otherwise, you'll probably want to create your own website exactly how you want it, then link your posts on the Fediverse.

@pioneer Consider Plume or WriteFreely.

@somarasu @angristan ST? Also, does anybody know what happened to FreeTusky? I can't find it on the F-Droid store, it's Git repo or anything.

@Gargron Do you mean something similar to Telegram's video messages and telesco.pe ?
