Running Windows on a laptop. But the VM suffices for me for now.
@verita84
I'm passionately running an Arch VM for now. University prevents me from escaping the MS ecosystem completely.
@Rasp
So surreal
@sir
I actually do this frequently. I'm 21. lol, today I made a stylesheet to inject when I'm pissed enough at someone's CSS negligence.

Thanks for this, Brett. I've been exploring IRC and I like it's relatively minimalist nature. I love Telegram's feature-set (multimedia, stickers, permissions, etc), but being ultimately a proprietary, centralised platform, I can imagine it's flaws.
One thing: Seemless use of multiple clients with one nickname on a server doesn't work like Telegram (I think). Is there a solution?
Also, any IRC guide or client recommendations?
Holy crap, google is apparently taking down all/most fediverse apps from google play on the grounds that that some servers in the fediverse engage in hate speech. At least three apps I know of anyway and I'd imagine the others will follow soon under the exact same reasoning.} Seems to be the case with Husky, Fedilab, and "subway" tooter.
this is a scary precedent if google play is going to ban any apps that can in any way be used to access content with hate speech. So what about a forum client, do they take that down just because there is a forum somewhere on the internet posting hate speech?
This is particularly worrisome because for most people Google Play is the only way they understand to install apps at all.

@portpupper @lain Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. So far the references are to blog posts by lain and official website content. We need external reviews and "noteworthy" commentary to put the Pleroma draft on the same level as the Mastodon wiki page.

@luke Relevant throwback to a talk about the Fediverse (albeit referenced indirectly). Nice to finally see on PeerTube.
@lain
Do you know of this?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Pleroma_(software)
Also, anyone wanna help with collecting sources for the Pleroma Wikipedia draft page before it's reviewed?
Sources are the most important to avoid it being deemed not "note worthy" and discarded. Grab all you can.
@RayneSilver Welcome to the Fediverse 🏄 !
Hi
@Toni lol you did it. Now enjoy your new freedom on the Fediverse.
@Zambyte @luke True. Its up to him. I think he's only recently understanding how the Fediverse works.
For audio centric posts (podcasts) there's also the federated https://funkwhale.audio , although I think he's probably just gonna keep using RSS for https://notrelated.xyz .
Also, knowing Luke, he's gonna curse you for calling his videos "tech rants" lol.
@design_RG I do think the Wikipedia:Fediverse page needs much improving. But at least now the definition exists.
New Wiktionary entry for the Fediverse. Thoughts?

The creator Dave Yarwood also blogs about it: https://blog.djy.io/
