So you're basically saying that because a boistorous minority (because that's what they are at this point) want Trump, the winners should just give it all up and give the Trump-supporters what they want? Why the fuck did they even have elections to begin with?

I agree with you here, the american people are mostly divided between who they want.
The problem each side thinks they are the majority, and no one has bothered to do a proper investigation to settle it. Plus we were already at eachothers throats before hand.

The crowded East and West coasts tend to be Democratically-inclined. The quieter rural center is mostly Republican. And with the current polarization going on, it sounds more and more like they want to become their own nations instead.
There also had been talks (mostly idle threats so far) of a few large states wanting to secede in the last decade. Who knows, maybe it'll become reality. I wouldn't be too surprised at least if that were the case.

Thats the wrong word by the way and has a different meaning than you intended. You meant Democrat-inclined.
California actually had succession on their ballot recently. It is an idle threat as the constitution does not give states the right to succeed, so they do not have the power to decide that, the federal government would have to grant it, legally.
