I truly hate being sick. Full sinuses, full nose, chunky snots, ears and throat hurty. Yeah, I'm not really enjoying today here. :P
@robflop I deal with it 2-3 times a year at least, alas. :( Me and The Cold... we got some history going.
@trinsec@qoto.org Sounds bothersome.. I remember when getting sick while in school would mean "Yay, no school!", but nowadays it just means "Yay, missing uni lectures and everything else I was gonna do today!".

@trinsec i swear on onion with sugar: dice an onion, place it into an airtight container and put 1-2 spoons sugar on it. close and let rest for the night. next day you take the onion-extract sirup which formed. sounds unpleasant but is tastes not bad if you like onions :)

Fried dried onions, though, I can handle. I was thinking of doing a ramen noodles mix today if my eggs are still good. With some garlic and onions added. And either brussel sprouts or broccoli. Mmmmmm. Oh, and completely using up the spicy sachet. If my head and ears hurts, I want my throat to know it too! :P
@trinsec i'm not sure if dried and fried still helps, but they indeed taste good ;) i also use plenty of hot sauce when having a cold, it seems to help with it somehow :)
@bonifartius And even if it doesn't help, at least they make me think it helps. Placebo effects can be strong! ;)

I prefer breathing a concentrated brew of hot tea and mint on a beer glass. It may sounds yucky but it always works
