In any proper texan resterant the plates are edible and made of formed meat, and if you order vegetables it is just imitation vegitables made out of meat shapped and flavored to look like a vegetable. As vegetarians will tell you though they can tell the difference between the faux veggies and the real stuff because the faux veggies, despite the processing, still have have some flavor.

Texas has more practicing cardiologists than any other state in the US. Just a coincidence, I'm sure.
I'm going to monitor this thread until someone brings up the difference between a botanical vegetable and a culinary vegetable. (oops, I just did.)
