@PraxisOfEvil do you intend for that post to sound racist or...

@jessecoynelson I mean if Israel wants this war to happen and the Israeli government conducts the war, that's not the fault of the government, they are just giving the people what they want.

@cyrilpedia I mean, that's how the math worked out.

If we want different management than we need to pay for different management.

It's like deciding not to buy french fries with your hamburger and then complaining about there not being french fries. We as a society aren't paying for these services so we don't get those services.

We shouldn't be blaming them for giving us what we are ordering.

@ErikJonker frankly, at this point I think high ranking officials in the US government have no idea what's going on and so their reason for such pressure is pretty naive.

But I guess that's a different topic.

We elected morons. We get what we get.

@maggiemaybe Well I think step one is understanding why people like the super bowl.

Because yeah, people treat elections the same way for the same reasons.

People like to be part of a tribe, and elections are a very direct way of them feeling that way, so they treat it that way.

And politicians and special interest groups profit from exploiting that thing that people do.

@nando161 you overlook the role that popular opinion plays, how representative are actually representing the common opinion among their constituents.

@ErikJonker seems pretty obvious that a country going to war would prefer their enemy not to have communications, so they can't communicate and coordinate their own forces.

I don't know why we would say we don't know why it happened.

@lcamtuf I don't entirely disagree, but I partially disagree, because your argument is one for lowering standards, to the point that a person might be miserable with their poorly matched mate.

And that's no good.

Yeah I get that people can err on the side of having standards that are too high, but there's also the issue of standards that are too low.

@SteveBologna I mean voting blue is what set this up in the first place.

Democrats voting with Republican nut jobs is what vacated the chair and set Johnson up for taking over.

And we should probably stop electing those idiots.

@Mcpenn0rbutt ha! Okay I know what you mean, but now I just want to see the post so I can reply to it.

Because I've got nothing better going on on this Sunday.

@fluffy

@bluebeetle I just gave up on Star Trek ever bringing back, you know, Star Trek.

Pink blood just doesn't make up for all of the mistakes made through Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, etc.

@fluffy Why not?
If you had something to contribute, you might as well contribute it.

@realTuckFrumper this is called bipartisan report but it is completely lacking the perspective of the party with the most membership.

No, he doesn't expose house Republicans. He makes claims against them that are pretty weak and fairly easily refuted.

@touaregtweet I mean it is possible to simultaneously say that there should be a ceasefire and also acknowledge that the ceasefire would advantage Hamas.

The two are not mutually exclusive

@fsinn heaven forbid there are exchanges of opinion on this platform *eyeroll*
