@swiley I have been under the impression that IMAP won't work well offline, right?
@worldsendless I use it offline pretty often. It works better when you have lots of devices and also has "IDLE" which gives you instant delivery.
@swiley @worldsendless you just have to have a client which can download the messages (hint: any sane one ;)
@bonifartius @swiley Looks like getmail can do that just fine. The question is when and if I should make that switch.
@worldsendless it's been ages since i used that kind of setup. i mostly use claws-mail, where you can setup caching of messages for offline use for each folder. i'd assume other clients can do this too.
