The real importance of mastodon is that unlike a centralised corporate like Facebook or Twitter there is no one organisation that controls what you see ( OR not see) ... but once the number of users go up, i wonder what algorithm will be used to determine what shows up on my timeline. Question is does each instance sets its own algorithm? That will be the key differentiator between mastodon and the others ..

@shibaprasad for good or for worse, i am an out and out Modi Bhakt and I love his actions on 370, TT and now Ram Mandir :-) cannot tolerate the JNU and (non STEM) JU crowd ..

@shibaprasad I have nothing against political posts .. nice thing about any social media is that YOU choose what you want to see, whom you want to follow ... and i hope mastodon will not be taken over by the leftist-jihadi cabal that has taken over Twitter ... in fact the federated structure could be a guard against that
