@peterdrake nice collection of boardgames!
@cyrilpedia I don‘t think these two are connected at all. It‘s completely reasonable for as many countries as possible to develop (e.g.) nasal vaccines for a new pandemic / new wave. That‘s even better for everyone since there are more suppliers if it does come down to this. That has nothing to do in working together more to combat the actual pandemic itself (which tbh will never happen).
The horror when your polymerase eppi is getting empty and you fear to open the freezer looking if someone bought new ones. It‘s not even Schrödingers polymerase because I basically know that I won‘t find any. #lablife
@freemo I might leave something to get done at the end of a horrible day to get a better feeling when going home.
Autoclave broken, mold in the ice maschine, pipettes clogged, cell lines look like someone vomitted into the incubator. So all in all, above average monday. #mondayblues
@arctangent ‚pants and productivity‘ would be a fantastic name for a podcast!
Waiting for #Gryffindor, #Slytherin, #Ravenclaw & #Hufflepuff servers on mastodon that compete against each other. With sorting hat algorithm and all. That way you finally have scientific proof that math hates you if it tries to put you into Hufflepuff.
#introduction Hey my name is Daniel I'm a phd student in pharmaceutical biology studying proteins loosely (hopefully, probably, maybe) involved in the differentiation process of various cell types. My speciality is going overboard with the falsification principle so I will always find a reason why my effects are just static noise. Got the feeling that we need way more mandatory statistics courses in biosciences.
Trying to figure out an annoying protein. I like it but it hates me. It's complicated.
