Well done USA trump supporters
The most outrageous health claims peddled by the US' new anti-vaxxer health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr: From 'chemicals could make you trans' to the 'dead worm' in his brain
I am just sharing this to highlight what is to come, so that maybe we can come up with some good responses backed by science.
I just wonder if their columist Boris Johnson who is a huge fan of Trump, and backed the idea that the Stormy danels trial was a stitch up, will still back trump who made this pick for health minister.
@zleap i don't know about the atrazine but there is a bunch of (once) common chemicals which either act as or disrupt hormones, often with bigger impact on males, like BPA and PCB. that's no conspiracy, it's why childrens products are advertised as BPA free.
almost no country does fluoridation of tap water anymore. fluoridation doesn't make much sense when there are topically applied fluorides in toothpaste where the risk of overdosing isn't as big. there was a recent us federal ruling that the epa has to regulate fluoridation of drinking water because it might have negative impact on intellectual development of children.
While I agree, and am aware of chemicals that can mimick hormones. I am concerned about the idea it turns people trans, it seems that the news / science about these chemicals is simply being weaponised against the trans community, or probably will be given what has been discussed here before.
We need to follow actual science, so it seems that one the one hand RFK is anti-vax, and the other he talks about the above, which has science backing, it will end up with science being less trusted, which is a real danger and possibly on the agenda so they can push forward some of what appears to be in project 25.
@bonifartius so
the part about psychiatric medication being of influence in school shootings also has evidence to back it up.
While this may be the case, I get the impression that some of these school shootings are by people who have been bullied and abused by others at he school, so perhaps one solution is about creating better cultures in schools where everyone feels valued and welcome and this culture includes teaching the students to respect each other.
I can understand why people snap, find a weapon such as a gun and blast former schoolmates to death for what they were subjected to, and shoot a few teachers for allowing it to happen, people can only take so much before they simply snap.

i wholeheartedly agree!

i'm an armchair psychatrist, but one explanation i've heard for the phenomenon that anti-depressants sometimes have these effects that frightening things just don't look frightening anymore. hence the increased suicides. someone might have been depressed but when taking away the fear of suicide by tuning brain chemicals people see suicide as valid way out.
like everything these things are multifaceted and pretty hard.
