@JackTheCat

Ticking time bomb, they are sold smart meters as they are said to be better, easier and more reliable and accurate.

False marketing etc

@JackTheCat

The recent revelations regarding the fact they get things wrong is great for those who do not want one.

Putin says Russia will not attack NATO, but F-16s will be shot down in Ukraine

@euwatchers

Seems fair enough regarding F-16s

@JackTheCat

Given the issues with Smart meters, can the readings from them be trusted or are the old meters still connected?

@Gargron

Agreed, not defederating sends the wrong message. If admins are worried about the legal aspects of this, the UK online harms bill should give you legal protection, as that says services need to protect users.

Dear @Gargron,

A fediverse server called Threads* is violating mastodon.social’s second server rule:

“2. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia…
Transphobic behavior such as intentional misgendering and deadnaming is strictly prohibited.”

Can you please defederate from this server to protect the trans people on mastodon.social?

Thank you.

Putin says Russia will not attack NATO, but F-16s will be shot down in Ukraine

Russia has no designs on any NATO country and will not attack Poland, the Baltic states or the Czech Republic but if the West supplies F-16 fighters to Ukraine then they will be shot down by Russian forces, President Vladimir Putin said late on Wedne euractiv.com/section/global-eu source/editor : Georgi Gotev

I Want one of those robots like they had on the Captain proton epoxides in voyager, or the one from Lost in space, far cooler than the androids in human image.

Teaching and working in schools is going the same way not what it was when people signed up.

@JackTheCat

We need to get in to schools and promote these careers to young people so we can recruit HERE in the UK.

Put more money in to STEM subjects

@davecarter

I guess How to train your dragon series have been read,

We have a voracious 7 yr old reader who can happily rip through 3-400 pages in a few days.

Very into dragons / fantasy. Also adventure novels / mysteries / any compelling narrative driven stuff.

Would love age appropriate (ish) book recommendations.

@libreoffice

Thanks

Kinda short notice for this year, but I will try and at least make a post about it.

@simontsui

Perhaps the US / UK goverment should be more concerened with this and other similar groups than Julian Assange,

Unless the idea is to make an example out of Julian Assange, something the UK won't let happen as the extradition criteria includes NOT applying the death penalty.
