Over the last year, Labour have used claims about the lack of money to justify cuts to pensioners’ Winter Fuel Payments and essential support for disabled people.

At the same time, the rich have turned massive profits.

It's time to tax the rich, and fund public services!

I have a small digital radio thingy the 3.5mmm allows for headphones to be connected, however the wire also doubles up as an antenna to recieve the signals.

Yeah my little website seems to have had 100s of hits,l not sure how when I have barely promoted it, I have some info on making a robots.txt file which I will follow, it may mitigate some of what is going on.

AI bots are welcome to scrape, I made a post ahout an article on UV resistant lichen, and asked a specific question on about this, that was not directly related to the article. So if Ai scrapes this and thinks we can use CRISPR to splice the genetic segment in to plants, then fine, it was a speculative question, so Ai doing that would just add to it's bad output.

I still need to take steps to stop scraping.

This makes no sense, when Equality is meant to mean everyone gets treated equally. On the other hand this appointment would align wiht the supreme court ruling, it is clear what the long term agenda of the Labour party is. Would also be interesting to find out who the other candidates were.

@MJmusicinears

if he is not comfortable with the release, why release it?

If regulators are not ready then neither are the rest of us, people need to be taughtw how to use existing tools properly develop all the skills around that, before they move on.

The pace of development seems to be driven by either ego, profit and not human improvement, a dangerous chain of events can easilyt be set in motion.

WHOA.

Astronomers may have found a planet orbiting Alpha Centauri A, the closest sun-like star to the Sun! It's a binary system, too, so if this is confirmed it'll be an AMAZING discovery!

I get the impression from watching programmes such as Wanted down under that the pay in Australia is not always as good as in the UK. However the working conditions and home - life balance is much better, so staff get to spend more time with the family is a much bigger factor.

How can you run a health service when a third of doctors are considering leaving the profession or the country?

The General Medical Council reports that 19% of Doctors are actively considering a career change, while a further 12% are looking at opportunities abroad pay better & have more acceptable working conditions.

An exodus of doctors from an already understaffed NHS will (of course) worsen the crisis.

Demonising striking Resident Doctors is not the answer!

Local garden centres stock various products such as garden borders made from old tyres, they also have stepping stones and other products all made from old tyres.

There is no reason to burn them, the ability to recycle in to other products is there, it just needs the will to do so, products made are hardwearing and have good asthetics too.

@mattl

Cool, I will see if I can write a blog post about this.

Good tools with a sensible name are much needed, most are named in such a way that the name has nothing to do with the use, and word association is usually a factor in remembering things.

Great work.

Have you all seen pixieditor? An open source image editor without a stubborn developer or a terrible name!

I just became a supporting founder and it would be great to see this succeed.

RFK Jr just cancelled $500 million in mRNA vaccine development.

There were many promising cancer vaccines and treatments under the mRNA programs… including a pancreatic cancer vaccine.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal because it’s almost always found too late.

I lost my Mom to the disease when she was just 47 years old.

This decision will cost lives.

At least we know what we are talking about, from reports here, when it is discussed out side of here, could be social media, or journalism, we end up with reports from people who have barely been here for long but make out they are 'experts'. The result is it is hard to use, there are no users or something else that is the contrary to what is here.

I live on the coast, despite the number of local primary schoosl and secondary schools I barely see that many children around, it is the school summer holidays.

So not sure where a lot of them are, unless they are inside playing games as they don't want to be outside.

Each Starlink masses between 250 kg (v1) and 1250 kg (v2).

So that is of order a hundred tons of aluminum dropped in the upper atmosphere.

Let's not let it get much worse: agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.co

Great!! so they are not only getting in the way of optical telescopes and views of the cosmos, they are getting in the way of radio telescopes too.

This HAS TO STOP!!!!
